PLAN YOUR VISIT
You're invited this Sunday
Sunday 4pm Service
Going to any church for the first time can feel awkward. So, if you're nervous, just come anyway!
What exactly can you expect if you're coming for the first time?
LOCATION
Gillieston Heights Community Hub, Redwood Dr, Gillieston Heights. There is plenty of parking and we are a wheelchair friendly venue.
TIME
We start at 4pm, but you are welcome to come early for a cuppa. The service with go for around an hour and a half, with tea, coffee, and a light dinner afterwards.
DRESS CODE
What dress code? There isn't one! We are a relaxed bunch and you'll find ugg boots, thongs, heels, and everything in between. Feel free to kick your shoes off if that makes you more comfortable.
KIDS AND YOUTH
We have programs for kids during the term and activities during the school holidays.
These programs all run during the second half of the church service. Kids and youth are encouraged to participate in worship and sing, sit on the carpet, draw, dance or wave a flag. After announcements they head to their program which is in the same hall or in the kids room. The kids program finishes at the same time as the church service.
BABIES
We love babies. Noise and movement is not a problem at River of Life. There is lots of space and your little ones are welcome to spread out of the carpet, hang out in your pram or toddle around. We have toddler packs to help keep their interest.
MUSIC
The service starts with music- and it's up to you whether you sit and listen or stand or sit.
PREACHING
The music is usually followed by testimonies, announcements and sometimes communion. A message is given that helps us understand in a practical way how we can become closer to God and know freedom in Christ.
HOSPITALITY
After the service we have a snack or light dinner together. There is tea and coffee and space for prayer, connection and community.
We would love to see you this Sunday! Be encouraged knowing you are invited, and very welcome!
