Did you know prayer is on God’s heart? There’s no 2 ways about it… what you say
matters and what you pray matters. At River we value relationship with Jesus, and
this means praying.
Talking about Him with others because he means so much to us, and talking to Him
in our everyday in lots of different ways: as we go for a morning walk; as we drive to
work; shooting arrow prayers for help and guidance during the day; seeking His
wisdom for strategy and direction in the little things and the big things. So many
ways we can talk to Him in our day.
And God LOVES believing prayer… not just asking, but asking in Jesus’ name, in
faith. Matthew 21:22 is the most in-your-face statement about the power of prayer.
Jesus himself said, “If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”
How’s that going for you?
Prayer involves us stilling ourselves and turning our ear to hear Him to listen for
what’s on his heart – not only for answers to what we are asking, but leaning on his
chest and seeking to know His will, His heart, and His mind for His world that we live
in.
God is always speaking…take some time to listen and engage with your heavenly
Father today… He can’t wait to spend some time with you!
